About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Remote Blockchain Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to projects based in Durban . You will be at the forefront of developing innovative decentralized applications and smart contracts, playing a key role in shaping the future of our blockchain offerings. This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a remote work environment, collaborating effectively with a distributed team. You will focus on building secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain solutions that address complex challenges in the crypto & blockchain industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy robust smart contracts using Solidity and other relevant programming languages.
• Build and maintain the backend infrastructure for decentralized applications (dApps).
• Participate in the design and implementation of new blockchain protocols and features.
• Optimize blockchain solutions for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate blockchain functionalities into user interfaces.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the remote team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Solidity and experience with frameworks like Hardhat or Truffle.
• Understanding of blockchain architecture, including consensus algorithms and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with web3 libraries and tools (e.g., Ethers.js, Web3.js).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
